Men’s Circle is open to all men and masculine-identified people on campus and is held on the second Thursday of each month from 6:30-8:30pm. It is a welcoming, non-judgmental and non-shaming space for facilitated reflection and discussion. We will be:
- ????????Sharing lived experiences
- ????????Working on issues of accountability, boundaries, and consent-violations
- ????????Thinking about allyship and power
- ????????Practicing listening and communication
This group is facilitated by Sacha Médiné, a registered counsellor with a practice in Vancouver, and Cormac O’Dwyer, the coordinator of the Healthier Masculinities Program. Men’s Circle is a space to ask questions, self-reflect, unpack how our masculinity impacts our behaviour and relationships, and ask for help.
This is a space created by men, for men. We will be holding each other accountable to the anti-colonial, anti-oppressive, and intersectional feminist framework of the Healthier Masculinities Program, and to the women and non-male identified people in our community. Men’s Circle is trans-inclusive and welcomes anyone who self-identifies as masculine.
Men’s Circle is not a men’s rights group.
